AF-CBT Remote vs In-Person Training
Remote and In-Person Training Workshops Yield Comparably High Quality Rating
Participants who received our basic training workshop delivered remotely (n=70, 2020) or in-person (n=60, 2019) reported high but comparable ratings of their skill improvements and the quality of the training experience. Both groups also had comparable ratings of the effectiveness of the trainer, the inclusion of useful teaching activities, level of improvement in knowledge, and likelihood of recommending the training to a peer. It is gratifying to see that both modalities yield high and similar quality ratings. The most common facilitators of training quality that they mentioned included the use of role-plays, showing modeling videos, and soliciting discussion.
